Alfreton Park Community School is a special needs school based in Derbyshire.

Dolphin Fabrications designed, manufactured and installed a bespoke island-type extraction/supply canopy complete with all associated ductwork and fans as necessary. The canopy incorporates a services riser and chamber to allow for the inclusion of gas, water and electric supplies to the cooking equipment. The chamber itself is designed with a fractured lid top to protect against any accidental gas collation should a leakage ever occur.

The design of the complete system utilised thermal coefficients to calculate desired flow rates that in turn allowed us to specify the appropriate fan sizes.

Dolphin Fabrications also supplied most of the bespoke stainless steel fabrications with the kitchen itself. These included pass through dishwasher tabling, the food preparation sink, general preparation tabling, a wall mounted storage cupboard and the managers work station.

Dolphin carried out work at the recently renovated Glide House where Sheffield manufacturers Gripple are based, on the site of the former Players Cafe in Attercliffe Common.

The modern new building features its own cafe in the Social Club on the first floor. It was here that Dolphin carried out extensive work.

We supplied and installed an extract-type stainless steel wall canopy, as well as fitting stainless steel wall cladding to the underside and fitting a separate fresh air supply.
